The Shire of Kojonup invites nominations from community-minded individuals to serve as members of the Muradup Community Advisory Committee.

Pursuant to Section 18 of the Bush Fires Act 1954 the Shire of Kojonup advises that the Shire has moved into the Restricted Burning Period. Due to recent rainfall, the risk of Bushfire spread has decreased. From Midnight 31 March 2026 – 30 April 2026, the Shire of Kojonup will be in the restricted burning period. Please note: • Consult your local Fire Control Officer for a Permit to Burn your property and adhere to all restrictions, conditions and advice given on the permit. • It is the responsibility of the person addressed on the Permit to Burn to control that fire, with fines or prosecution possible for contraventions to that permit. • The Shire of Kojonup has the authority to extend the Restricted Burning period further from the 30th of April should conditions warrant.
