Privacy Collection Notice

The Shire of Kojonup collects personal information from members of the public, customers, contractors, volunteers and other stakeholders when carrying out its functions.

Personal information is collected for purposes related to the Shire’s functions and activities, including to assess and process requests, provide services, communicate with you, maintain records, meet legal obligations, and perform administrative, regulatory and operational activities. The Shire may use or disclose this information for these purposes and for related purposes where permitted or required by law.

The Shire may disclose personal information to its officers, authorised contractors and service providers, government departments, agencies, insurers, advisers, and other organisations where necessary to deliver services, manage Shire operations, or where authorised or required by law. In some cases, the Shire may be required to collect particular information under legislation relevant to the service or transaction.

It is your right to refuse to provide us with some or any of the information requested. If you do not provide the requested information, the Shire may be unable to process your application or request, provide the service, respond to your enquiry, or otherwise deal with the matter efficiently or at all.
