PUBLIC NOTICE Disposal of Property by Disposition – s. 3.58 of the Local Government Act 1995 The Shire of Kojonup gives notice in accordance with the Local Government Act 1995 that it proposes to dispose of its fire tower communications building (in an empty state), located on Samson Road, to the current landowner, whose land the building is situated on, for nil cost, as per Council resolution 44/23 and due to the placement of a new fire tower in a different location and the deconstruction and removal of the fire tower from that landowner’s property. A sworn valuation of $100 was obtained on 14 April 2023. SHIRE OF KOJONUP STATEWIDE PUBLIC NOTICE Major Land Transaction Section 3.59 of the Local Government Act 1995 The Shire of Kojonup (Shire) is considering entering into agreements in relation to the lease and management of the Springhaven Frail Aged Hostel and the lease of three residential premises located in Kojonup. The proposed transaction is a ‘major land transaction’ for the purposes of the Local Government Act 1995, and the Shire has prepared a business plan. A copy of the business is available on the Shire’s website, and may be inspected at the Shire’s offices. Written submissions in respect of the proposed transaction may be lodged with the Shire prior to 5.00pm, 13 September 2024.
