The purpose of the Briefing Sessions is to allow for Council to be equally informed and seek additional information on matters prior to the presentation of such matters to the next Ordinary Meeting of Council for formal consideration and decision.
Council attends a Briefing Session with key members of staff and external advisors (where appropriate) twice a month generally. These sessions are usually held on the first and third Tuesday of the month excluding January where no Briefing Sessions are held at all and December where only one Briefing Session is held on the second Tuesday of the month.
Council's Briefing Sessions are not open to the public but copies of the Agenda and also of the Minutes for these sessions are made available to the general public as per below.
