BUSH FIRES ACT 1954

PART III PREVENTION OF BUSH FIRES

SECTION 18 - RESTRICTED BURNING TIME

Pursuant to Section 18, Bush Fires Act 1954 the Shire of Kojonup advises due to seasonal

conditions the Restricted Burning Period will now commence from Tuesday 18th March 2025.

Please note:

Permits to burn are required until 30th April 2025. The Shire of Kojonup encourages landowners/

occupiers carrying out any burning off activities on their land, to please log their activities by calling

DFES Communications on Ph: 08 9395 9209. This will assist with volunteer resources unnecessarily

responding to private Burns, mistaken as a bushfire.
