COMMUNITY EMERGENCY SERVICES MANAGER

The Shire of Kojonup is recruiting for a motivated and experienced Community Emergency Services Manager to join the team and play a vital role in strengthening community safety, resilience and emergency preparedness.

The Community Emergency Services Manager will support the Shires of Kojonup, Cranbrook and Gnowangerup by delivering prevention, preparedness, response, recovery and management and administration services to the Local Governments and their communities, emergency services groups (State Emergency Services), volunteers (bushfire Brigades) and the Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES) to lead and deliver emergency services. This is a local government employed position that is jointly funded by DFES and the respective Shires.

The successful candidate will be expected to reside in the Shire of Kojonup and will split their time between the Shires equally. A vehicle and subsidized housing will be offered to the successful candidate. The successful candidate will be required to manage their own time and work some weekends and nights, as required.

Employment offer

Join us in this full-time role, offering a competitive salary of $97,000 per annum, plus 12% superannuation in accordance with the Superannuation Guarantee Legislation Act 1992.This role also attracts an availability and on-call allowance.
